It's awesome
To get the menu in the dock,
you just add the applet called
"Yet another menu applet"
it is at the very bottom of the list of applets in AWN preferences.
An ubuntu logo will be there when you add the applet
(depending on what icon theme youre using),
But if the icon set your using, does not have an Ubuntu logo for the "start" or 'menu" button,
and instead it has a "GNOME foot" or something,
OR, if you just dont like the ubuntu logo that is there,
You just have to go into the folder that holds the icon theme/set you are using,
find the "start-here.png"[or .svg]
and replace it with the ubuntu logo of your choice, just make sure it is the same size as the one you are replacing.

or just upload an icon set or two with the menu button customized already. . lol
